If you are currently experiencing chest pains, CALL 911 immediately for emergency care. Our offices are open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Appointments can be scheduled at your convenience during these hours by calling our Salisbury office at 410-749-8906 or calling our Berlin office at 410-641-3794.
Most appointments are scheduled between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. To make a new appointment or change an existing appointment, call anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. We will always try to honor your request for a particular physician. Otherwise, you will be scheduled with the most available physician at the requested appointment time. Peninsula Cardiology Associates has a full staff of physicians and medical facility available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Cancellation Policy
We ask that you give our office 24 hours advance notice if you are canceling or rescheduling an appointment. Nuclear medications are ordered specifically for the patient’s height and weight and expire within a short period of time. All non-emergency nuclear testing cancellations within 24 hours of your scheduled test will be billed the cost of the radioactive medicine.

Financial Policy
Peninsula Cardiology is committed to the success of your medical treatment and your well-being. Payment of your medical bill is part of your treatment and care.
Our office participates with numerous insurance companies and managed health care programs. We require you to show your insurance card(s) at every visit. While we gladly bill your insurance companies for your services, it is important for the patient to be familiar with the guidelines of their insurance plan requirements regarding authorizations, deductibles, co-payments and other vital requirements. The entire amount of co-payment is due on the day of service, or a $10.00 surcharge will be applied.
Our office will submit a claim to your Primary and Secondary insurance as a courtesy, but you are ultimately responsible for the payment, regardless of your insurance coverage. Should you have a third (tertiary) insurance plan, it will be your responsibility to submit those insurance claims. Please check with your insurance company for requirements.
If you are enrolled in an HMO that requires a referral, our office must have the referral prior to your appointment. If we do not have the referral at your appointment time, your appointment will be rescheduled for another day.
All charges determined to be your responsibility by your insurance company shall be paid in full upon receipt of the first statement. Please notify the Billing Department if assistance is needed to meet your financial obligation. Patient balances past 120 days with no payment or payment arrangements will be turned over to a collection agency. In the event that we receive a returned check, a fee of $35.00 will be charged to your account, and payment in full is due upon receipt of your statement.
Peninsula Cardiology strives to offer our patients excellent cardiac care and assist the patient to receive maximum benefit from their insurance plan.

Insurance Plans Accepted
MEDICARE
We are participating Medicare physicians, a choice we made in order to provide maximum financial support to our many Medicare patients. This means that we accept Medicare's "allowable charge", leaving the remaining 20% due from the patient. Since we write off a substantial "non-allowed" portion of our regular charges for Medicare patients, we ask for your full cooperation in meeting two obligations.
- $155 deductible - payable each calendar year.
- 20% of Medicare allowable charge - payable each visit.
If you have other insurance coverage along with Medicare, we need to know which insurance is "primary" (billed first) and which is secondary (billed second). This is most likely to become an issue when the patient or spouse has employer-provided health insurance. Please come prepared with all Medicare and other health insurance information so that we can make a correct determination together.
